I really think you can tackle this one with a microcontroller. If you can read the temperature you can set it to run at variable speeds depending on the temp. sounds like a win-win situation...you could even house the thing right by the PCM.

I am the newby here so I have to ask what edit is?
I am assuming it is a software program that will re-program the PCM. Can anyone tell me where it can be purchased and what the complete name of the software is?

Thanks!

Contact Allen at Nelsonperformance.

He can program your pcm to run the fans and sell you a pre-made wiring harness for the fans.

This is what I did. It is worth every penny since the install was so simple, clean, and factory looking. It also works perfect. The whole install including fabing brackets for the fans took me 2hrs.

BlownChevy, do you happen to have a picture of one of these pigtails? I have the proper terminal connector (p/n 12084912 for 18AWG), but we could not determine the proper seal for it. A picture is worth a 1000 words!! Thanks.

I just received Nelsons harness that runs the fans off of the pcm. This thing is extremely clean and factory looking. No electrical tape anywhere or crimped wires. Everything is in wire loom. Well worth the money in my opinion. I'm installing the fans Saturday, so I'll take some pics during the install. You can tell he takes the time to get these things perfect!
