How exactly do I go about installing a transcooler on my 03 1500 with no stock transmission cooler? Do I run new lines from the tranny, and radiator back to the new cooler? Thanks

okay! How would I go with bypassing? Just run the lines straight from the tranny to the cooler. Then just cap off the radiator?

If you need to cut the OEM lines use a flare tool to put a flare on the line. This will help keep the clamped rubber hose from blowing off under high pressure.
Like posted above ^^^ spend the extra dough on the 40K. I had a Hayden 1403 (slightly smaller than the 679) supplied by my transmission builder (required for warranty). On hot summer days I would see 200* plus. While higher temps won't immediately hurt the transmission over time it will slowly cook the seals, o-rings and fluid.
