WAYYYY longer than the transmission if my case is any indication....

My 4.8L has 152K on it and was towing and hauling all its life and then I bought it and I beat on it every day . Has never failed to start up for me. Still runs smooth as hell too! I was driving my friends '03 Suburban and it only had like 30K on it and it barely felt "newer" if you know what I mean. These engines are phenomenal!

Anybody notice reduced life on an engine with the dreaded piston slap? Mine is quite noisy at start-up and only 100,000 on it.

254,000 here on my 99 5.3. Still runs like the day I got it. Fuel pump went out at 175k and trans at 203k but other than that the motor is great as far as I can tell. 120k aint nothin.

Yeah same here even if he got the truck in 2000 that's still over 70k miles a year. Possible but damn that's alot of miles makes my truck feel new.
