I didn't even think of that. I've seen 1000+ horsepower drag-motors for reasonable prices. MUCH lower than 35K, as in the 10K range.

I don't have the dimensions of one of these monsters, but I know they're BIG... I bet there would have to be some changes to the hardware around the wheel-well areas. Definitely not certain though.

It sure sounds much easier buying a monster block, bolting up a TH400, and dropping it in, but I'm not sure what you think about the 4wd, or using a 4L80E. I think those would be bigger obstacles.

...and I'm not sure what the computer would think of being moved aside and not used to run the engine any longer.

...then you'd need custom headers.

...then there is the streetability, and emissions / legality, etc.

How much does an H2 weigh?
What transmission and engine are in them?
What rearend gearing?
How tall are the tires?

I'd do a custom turbo on a built but simple 6.0 block.

I'd put more gear in to minimize stress on the transmission.

To be more specific here is what I would do (And I have made 746rwhp with my car)...

6.0 bored to 4.030, 8:1 compression
Custom midframe turbo, like a 76mm up to 88mm
Custom air/air front mount intercooler
If the tires are 30 inches tall I would run 4.10 gears
Custom 10" torque converter
Rebuild the transmission proactively it will die once you start beating on the truck
FAST engine management system
Custom fuel rails, fuel system
83 lb injectors
228/220/115 camshaft, go for minimal overlap but some
ARP head studs, rodbolts, heads stups

There is more little stuff but basically my car has that stuff but with a supercharger.

The stock H2 is a nice truck but does need more horsepower (the 8.1 would have been nice ). I was going to by a yellow one last year but it was hard to get out of my supercharged 8.1 and then merge onto the highway in a stock 6.0 H2. I have a few H2 customers that are running the Radix and some have even combined this with a Lunati stroker kit.

If you would like to turn this truck into a race vehicle cubic inches and boost would be the way to go. Hit Man X had a very good suggestion -

Get a 427 short block (billet crank, billet H-beam rods, forged pistons)
AFR 225cc heads
244/250 .560/.590 112LSA cam

Get an ATI F1 blower setup pumpin 12-15psi...I'd prefer a twin screw or roots supercharger but I don't see the ones available able to feed 7.0L of motor to 12-15psi efficiently or at all.
~3600-4000rpm stall converter (hey it's a show vehicle!)
Build the 4L80E up
A 100hp shot of nitrous
It will pretty much depend on how aggressive you want to go and how streetable you want to keep the truck.

This sounds like it will be a sweet project!

Tbyrne-do you know how much power the H2s make with the Radix Superchager and the Lutani stroker kit? Could I still put nitrous on top of that?
Pro Stock John-I don't know what the weight of the vehicle will be after we add all of our accessories, but it's probably the heavyist truck on this site. The engine is a 6.0L but I don't know what trans or gears are in it. It will have 37" or 38" tires on it when it's compleated. Where is a website that I can find some turbos at, or is there a sponsor on this site that has them?
Thanks for your help guys, as much info as I can get is really appreciated.

Polka, you need someone to build you a custom turbo setup.

You also need to figure out the gearing, 4.10's at least will help.

I personally think you will hit 700-800rwhp with a supercharger it's a lot more work than folks realize and the only reason I suggest a turbo is to remove that one variable I can see being a problem for a daily driver, losing a blower belt. I think it comes down to how resilient your guy is.

800rwhp is a lot of power to hit thru a 4L60E/4L80E.

I hit 746rwhp last time and next time I will hit 775rwhp or more.

Haven't heard any dyno numbers yet. These guys are out in Dubai so I'm not sure if they have an AWD dyno.

All I can say is

Once this thing is done you need to go on a cross country, for publicity purposes. While your doing this cross country you must pick everybody up on ls1tech and give them a ride. IT IS REQUIRED!!!!!!!!!

I agree totally. Especially if you have $35k to play with.
