I thought it was closer to the 1st gear of a 60E ? Hmmmm. Thanks for the info.

I was hoping he had the lower 1st gear, it would help him, but still need to know what his gearing is.

Pick up a maggie MP112 from the classifieds. It will be the cheapest option to the MOST power under curve where you want it. It will make that LQ4 feel like a 500 cube motor right off idle. Then if you decide you want more power you can get a cam and all the fun stuff

This could be your problem. 40'' tall tires need a LOT of gear to get your powerband where you want it.

Also what intake are you currently running?

The factory truck intake is worth the most torque. But the NNBS 87 mm intake would be great also.

The 1st gear in your TH350 is helping you.
dude its not my gear ratio! i have 4.88 gears,th350 and a atlas t case taht is 3:1. i have enough gear. im not an amateur at this stuff. i have been wheeling for a while. i know what works and what doesnt. i just want to know what makes a little more power but i think i am just going to put a charger on it and be happy.

You wont be dissappointed with the torque a 112 puts out... and you can get a really complete kit for prolly 2500 at this point. If you decide you want more a cam would add a ton of power.
