how to make truck run 13s?????
I have a single cab with the 4.8. i want to out run lightnings all motor or come close. Wut should i buy and wut numbers and price will it be. i have 2grand for performance. id prefer not to spray

I don't know how you would outrun an L on just motor. The L's are supercharged, so good luck.
If you want to come close, umm...I dunno where to start...
1)cam+tuning (~$700)
2)Intake ($200)
3)exhaust ($1000)
The essence of horsepower is getting air and fuel in and out of an engine as fast as possible.(right guys?)
Intake and exhaust helps, and a bigger cam lets more fuel+air in.
I also have a 4.8 and would like to wake it up a bit, that's probably what I will do.

L has 380 hp.....if i buy superchip tuner, asp pulley, aem intake, headers, muffler, cam, port and polish........i can get port and polish free.....but would that put me over 2 grand wut wut should i run cam wise and if i do a cam i need wut else?????

Radix Magnacharger,ASM headers,Yank 3000,4.10 gears and a Eaton posi.About $7500.
That reminds me, I got an Eaton posi and 4.10 gears for $800 installed. While that doesn't add power, it got the power I have to the ground. Before I was doing the infamous "one wheel peel" and wouldn't go anywhere. Now, the Eaton hooks up, the 4.10s haul better, and I'm outta there. Not to mention the fun you can have with the Eaton when going around corners.

He can't do it for $2000 unless he sprays the devil out of it.With ASM headers,Yank 3000,4.10s a Eaton posi and a 150 shot he might make it for $2000.
