HOW MUCH HORSEPOWER SHOULD I MAKE WITH THIS COMBO?
OK. Im fixin to get my 6.0 block finaaly bought and this is what i plan to do to it...bare with me on the mod list...
Bored .040 over
a callies 4.000" crankshaft
Diamond pistons
eagle connecting rods
Patriot Performance Stage II heads
And probaly a 231/237 cam or somewhere around there.
And i will be transfering all the boltons from my 5.3 onto the 6.0
If im not mistaken, boring it .040 over and the 4.000" crankshaft will make it a 408ci motor? just give me an estimate of what kinda power you think i'd make..thanks..oh yeah. im also gonna use ls1 edit to tune the bad boy...

.040 over will give you 410 cubic inches...sounds like a solid setup. your budget has grown since we talked last. remember with this motor you're going to need a helluva tranny to keep up and a posi out back. injectors will also need to be upgraded. if you don't plan on spraying it you could run something like the SVO 30s i have for sale for $150. sounds solid though.

nah, you don't need no stinking radix. that setup would be good for well over 400rwhp. and you could run up to a 400 shot if you tuned it properly and accordingly. but i would say 150-200 would be all you'd need and would be plenty

when are you going 6.0 blown? i'm thinking of a radix for my forged 370 with a little spray to boot. not to mention 230/230 .592/.592 cam...but my lsa is kinda low for boost and nitrous 110 LSA....it might work though. or i could just get a custom grind. but i like the radix for my new motor too.

Slow, I am currently looking for a VERY low mileage 6.0, or even better NEW. I will be woking on this project over the next 5-6 months, with plans to have it finished by January 04'. I will be posting pics and info on the progress and it comes in!
We are planning a 6.0, head and cam package with the Radix. Nothing too wild we want to keep it as REAL as we can! As of right now with the high mileage 5.3, Radix and misc bolt ons our best e.t. was 13.1 @ 103.6. After that last few improvements we are expecting HIGH 12's, this will make us happy!
We are also planning a detailed upgrade of the suspention and the results as we go along, check in for details in the next 30-40 days!
