I've got a 220/220 with .551 lift and 114 LSA and a stock converter in my truck. My motor is an LS1 though, so my setup is a little different, but my bottom end feels pretty good to me. Don't know if this helps you any.

You don't really lose any power down low, it just feels like it did before you got the cam untill it gets into it's power band.
