How much to mill the 862's
I've searched and can't find what I'm looking for. I want to get my stock heads ported/polished and milled this winter. We have a very good machine shop here that specializes in head work, so the price is pretty good...otherwise I'd go with WCCH. I'm thinking of milling .030 to .035, just curious if that'll work and what my compression would be. I'm hoping for mid 10's to 1 compression. Thanks in advance.

i may have been told the wrong information, but i was told the stock lifters can only take .030 of play before you get issues in the valves train with the longer push rods u are creating with shortining the heads .030..
i did some research my self and found milling .015 will bring you up to around 10:1 and i think milling .030 is quite a bit past 10:5:1.. closer to 11:1.. for around 10:5:1 maybe a tad bit less i think milling .020 will get u where u wanna be.. i am not positive so some one correct me if im wrong cuz im having head work done too
