I love my nx kit.Best mod so far.I had it installed by a fbody shop, window switch and all.It took allmost 1.5 off my 1/4 time.best part about it is launching in 4hi with 150 shot. And kicking there *** so bad with my 6000lb beast they wont evan look over. I think a 14 sec avalanche is ultimate sleeper!!

Thanks for the advice guys!

I'm gonna go to the track soon and if I run really slow I'll probobly throw in the towel on this performance thing and just buy some nice wheels and quit with the truck.

So hopefully I will run a good time.
Assuming I run a time that encourages me to continue, I'm pretty sure I'll just do this:
Nitrous+Limited Slip+ 3000RPM stall

That was pretty much what was suggested anyway.

What kinda traction do you guys get with an LSD spinning two 255 street tires?

Oh and just wondering, what does a lightning run stock - you know.. jsut for comparison purposes.

I wouldn't put much stock in your track times until you get limited slip, moving that big truck with 1 tire isn't gonna do you justice.

I still didn't have the greatest traction after I got limited slip with my stock tires, but like I said, those Nitto drag radials rock.

didn't mean to discourage you. you really have limited mods so far and the best mods are what you have planed next. a 3000stall with a posi will make a huge diference and nitrous is good for 1-2sec too.

You haven't discouraged me, just brought me back to reality on this. That crappy open dif really does slow you down I suppose.

I think I'll get the spray, and when I do as every1 predicted and I spin like crazy, I'll buy an LSD, and then I'll get the stall. Then, if I have any traction problems I'll get some radials. And then, I'll get a new tranny b/c the stock one will have been toasted.

Can a good rebuild on a 4l60 stand up to all that spray-achieved torque that gets planted, or will a 4l80e be in order?

You need a shift kit in your trans too. THe shift kit and the TT3k alone made me drop 7 tenths off my time. The shift kit will make the shifts so much quicker it almost eliminates the torque management affect. This was before I had EDIT and could tune it all myself to remove TQM.

Dont get discouraged. Getting a fast truck isnt as easy as throwing a few things on there. You need to plan your mods and get parts that compliment each other. If you want to go nitrous, then get a better cam. Maybe a little higher stall (3200), some LT headers. Keep your eye on the classifieds. For comparison, lightnings run high 13's stock in my area and they are rediculously fast with just a few mods.
I know all about getting discouraged. I spent over $3500 on my blower and got less hp than alot of the guys with cam only setups. Ive added a few things and hope to be over 400rwhp when I get time to hook up this alky kit.

Just curious what did your Avalanche run with a 150 shot?

Im thinking about getting an avalanche eventually.
