Default How much will stock catback hurt cam and headers?

Getting cam and headers installed soon. I am going with Pacesetter headers and ORY. I love the sound of stock and wanted to keep the sound if possible. How much would not going with a catback system hurt performance? I thought I read some where the stock catback is not bad?

i would guess, that the stock cat back isn't bad, especially if your going with the ORY, the cats would be the only thing that would hurt performance, and . Id say go for it.

You can always change it later. Better to not do too many things all at once.

If your doing it all at once and then getting it tuned all at once it would probably be beneficial to at least swap out the muffler. Great flowing mufflers can be had for cheap, hack off the old setup, stick a new muffler on there and leave it like that. It will be much more free flowing.

I'm betting it won't hurt you that much but I could be wrong...

Why get a cam and headers if you like the stock sound?

I'm going to take a wild guess and assume your 16 years old and drive a stock truck with "straight pipes" and no muffler.
