I lost my keys with the remote on it, so bought a new one. I was wondering if I could program it myself or do I have to go have an encounter with the dealership Thanks for any help!

 

It tells you how to do it in the owners manual. If I rember right you have to put a key in the ignition and turn it to run. Then hold down the lock and unlock button for about 5 seconds and the door locks will lock and unlock. It is now programed.

 

That only works to resyncronize, not program. Thanks anyways though. Guess I am headed to the dealership

 

To Reprogram the remotes you need to hold the unlock button down on the door. then turn the key on and off twice & let go the unlock button, at that point the locks will cycle on and off. Then you press both buttons on the remote for 15 seconds and it will cylce the locks. if you need to do a second remote hold both buttons on the other remote for another 15 seconds. once both are done turn key on and off. and YOU ARE DONE.

Do you need to reprogram them if your battery goes dead. Mine wont work after a battery change.

 

You probably just need to resync it.
