how reliable are these trucks?????
well i've read good and bad things about silverados/sierras, i'm interested in buying a 2k1 c3, but i don't want something that will always be in the shop and rattle/fall apart around me... how have your trucks treated you, especially if you have a c3?
thanks.
thanks.

Probably one of the best if not "the" best vehicle I've ever owned. The only problem I've ever had with mine is the transmission slipping but I'm probably partly to blame for that.

i plan to use it every day, to and from work in rush-hour traffic, for play too(no 4-wheeling or dragging in a c3 though, maybe some very light towing). i will probably leave is stock except for maybe exhaust and wheels/tires.

From what I've heard, they are supposed to be great for daily driving and towing. I drive my 4x4 in rush hour everyday with no driveability problems. For what it's worth, the C3 is what I really wanted just couldn't afford.

There great, other than the fact i burnt up my trans in the first 7500 miles of owning the truck. That my fault from beating the everloving **** out of a supercharger truck with a stock tranny.

I think the C3 is a great vehicle. Overall, these GM vehicles are very good quality. They have some minor issues, usually covered under warranty, but so does every manufacturer. Is this C3 from a dealership? If so, make them give you an extended GM warranty as part of the deal and dont pay too much. The C3 was stickered @ $39K but ended up selling closer to $30K at the end of production after poor sales and GM incentives. Mileage will play a part in the price, but I wouldn't pay over $26K for a low mile 2001 C3.

The C3 is to commemorate the third time in all of GM history that the truck has been completely redesinged. Get it, third time for the C1500, C3. The truck has the stronger 4L65E and the high output 6.0 rated at 325HP. The C3 was only made for one year, after that its name was changed to Seirra Denalli and it was givin 4WS. The C3 has every option you can get.
