10.5 psi. DAMN!

I run 17-17.5 psi. in my 26's.Now I see why you want the rim locked on.

9.19 all motor 4.8 is fast. Scream has more mods than you in a light base model 4.8 (exept he has 3.42s) and is only running 9.7s. To bad I didnt have this truck when I was stationed in Pensacola, It would be fun to give you a run for your money.

I make a decent amount of power at 11psi, although I have a 13lb pulley. I have a 6.0 but, a 5.3 is not much different. I haven't had any problems yet. Just keep it rich and no detonation.

9.19 in a naturally aspirated 4.8...you must have a helluva cam and heads package on that bitch....everyone else with a n/a 4.8 is atleast 6-10 tenths slower on motor alone.

02gmc... you also have to consider that Mobile is 60' shy of a true 1/8. BTW... are you Tony with a red sierra? Anyway I am from S MS and have lots of friends in Mobile and am over there pretty often.

back to how strong, i dont think there is any diference in the 6.0 and 5.3 bottom end strength wise and i can vouch for the strength of a 6.0. i ran 8psi and a 75 shot at least 30 full runs, then about 5 runs at 9psi and a 75shot and part of one run at 9psi and a 100shot(tranny let go). remember whipple so full boost and nitrous right out of the hole!!

i am prety sure the 8psi and 75shot is over 500rwhp, figure 5000lbs and a 11.92 at 109 puts it well into the 500 numbers if you believe those calculators. all this on a STOCK 6.0. stay out of detonation and dont spin the **** out of it and who knows what the limit is but i would say 500-550hp and it will live for quite awhile, push it to 600hp and it will at least live for awhile.

6300 seems too high to me with that kind of blower. i tried shifitng at 5600, 5800, 6000 and 6200. it got faster each time except for 6200, same time as 6000 but sounded bad, rattly and stuff so i put it back to 5800. 6000 was just a couple of hundreths faster and not worth the extra rpm's. seems like bumping from the stock 5200 up to 5800 gave me over 1/10 though.

well like i said, dont spin the **** out of it and DONT let it detonate.

i could be wrong with my numbers but i carefully added power and then added more power, always tuning and adjusting and got a long ways with a stock 6.0. maybe it was a fluke motor but i think it was more just carefull tuning. watching the fuel presure gauge, watching the injector pulse width, watching the a/f ratio, watching for knock retard. the tuning tools are expensive and you better like doing that kind of thing cause it takes some time.
