I installed a street fighter in my brother's truck, it is loose. I wouldn't tow anything with it. It is perfect for the money. It brake stalls to 2700. Can't wait until we install my old 212/218, some ported heads, and juice.
Sure the TCI isn't the greatest converter out there but, it is hard to beat for the money.

I've heard an fbody guy say the 3500 isn't that loose w/ proper gearing. It has a 2.5 str compared to the 3000 which has a 2.2. Ya might do some more research and maybe go a bit bigger?

I'm kinda wondering what the stock converter size is. The SF is in fact a 10". What does that say about the effeciency of it. Are there any real world # on how much power you lose through it. I hear different things like you gain torque and horsepower, but I also hear that you lose power and really all it does is jump the rpms @ launch.
