How to trap 110-mph in a truck, all motor...
Just wondering...
What do you guys think it would take to trap 110-mph in a truck, all motor? I see a lot of the 5.3L guys with cams, some with ported heads, sratching @ 105-mph. A quick e.t. is definetly included in this question but, I think mph is more interesting because we all lack it.... Yes, I know why
How radical do you have to get to trap 110-mph and/or, can it be done?
Do you need a 6.0L? Could a 4.8, or 5.3 do it? What sorta heads? How big of a cam?
I do see 2 on the list almost reaching 110mph, and Blacksheep in the 116mph range.
Interested in everyone's thoughts. I have my own opinions just like most of you all have your own, I'm sure.

I dont see a 5.3 much less a 4.8 being able to do it N/A. Id be very doubtful of a 6.0 doing it. I guess with some good stage 3 heads, a good sized cam, and a real nice stall it could be done with excellent tuning in a rcsb.
Im no expert though.

I Think With A 6.0 It Can Be Done.i Have Seen An X-cab Run 107 With A 6.0 With All Bolt Ons And A Tb Converter 3 Angle Vavle Job And Shaved 20ths With 4.10 Gearsshifting @ 6500 Thunder Racing Did The Tune.so I Know A Rcsb With 6.0 Could Do It.(i Will Let You Know Soon)

Yeah, you can have a **** poor launch (and ET) but still trap high MPH. In fact, I've often seen higher MPH when I've had a poor start.
110mph is going to take a big agressive cam, good heads, free flowing exhaust, intake, and tuning. A 6L would be my starting point and I'd be shifting in the high 6000s. Oh yeah, a light weight truck.
