No problem at all John. I just know how frustrating it can be to get this awesome software, and get lost in it all.

One trick - when you make any fueling changes, you'll probably want to reset the learned fuel trims. You'll do that in the scan tool when you're hooked up and scanning...

At the top - TOOLS - VCM CONTROL -- FUEL AND SPARK - "RESET FUEL TRIMS".

You'll see the orange and red lines at the very bottom graph zero-out in the middle of that chart. That will let the computer start with a 'fresh slate' for the fueling changes you made, and will make the changes apparent more quickly compared to letting them learn by themselves. It's pretty much the equivalent to doing a PCM (or VCM) reset, but just on that part. (that's one of the very few learned tables that are probably reset during a PCM/VCM disconnect-power reset type thing.)

Tuning for WOT is a little tricker.... when you get there, let us know - I'm sure we'll chime in...

I heard that too, RGV. I remeber trying out changes to mine based off of what I did to the IFR, but I don't recall if I went up or down, and what the outcome was.

I'm not really sure if it's correct, but I think it's still something that's recommended for a baseline type thing.

Now, I pretty much just shoot for 890-900 on the 02's until I get a wideband setup...

You can't make any permanant changes while the trucks running. You have to have the engine off, but ignition on to upload a new tune.

It has taken me about 3 forevers to get my LTFT's in order.
-2 is my highests number,all others are 0, 1, and -1's
STFT highest number is +5. I will work on it some more.
When all are in range I will smooth them out and check again.
Main VE table looks like a saw blade.
A pre-tuned VE table would have brought some cash. I looked at
some bin's on HPTuner bin site, but none for my year 2000 5.3
I've just got my feet wet, gonna take longer than I thought.
Learned about my truck and about myself. Patience is getting a little better.

Hi all. First post, I was wondering , Where do you get the HPTuners? I've looked for them and can not find a link, I have a Diablo programer but the stuff you guys are talking about is far beond the adjustments that can be done with the Diablo.
Sorry to hijack the thread.
