Default hydrolocked 5.3

yea i was going pretty fast and i seen a big puddle in the road i slowed down a little but after that my exhaust started crackling and back firing, then it died. i started it and white smoke was coming out. and it died. i dont thnk its completely locked but it didnt sound good.. maybe i messed up a piston or 2? what do u guys think?

Pull the plugs out, bump it over with the key, see if it turns over

It depends on how much water got in there.

I find it really hard to believe that a puddle would have blown up the motor, how big was that sunmabitch?? if it cranks over, do that a few times, then clean the plugs off, stickem back in.. If it sounds, smells ok then roll with it..

i would say a lot, probably 2 cups full.. i dunno but it does run, rough but it runs. i left it at my friends house. ill check it out tomorrow./

This happened to me a few times in my old truck at the car wash, I'd keep it on while getting washed (not a good thing to do). It would surge and die, a few attempts of switching it on and getting all the water out and it was good to go...

Is ur intake that low????
