Default I bet I have the hardest shifting transmission.

not that it's something to brag about , but i bet it do, when i see ya'll at the shootout we'll compare. It will jar your body parts up and make you tense up, just waiting for the shift.

on with the question.

Can some of you guys, do some auto tapping and let me know what kind of trans line pressure you are reading about 1700rpms. Mine is about 11-15psi, it's real sensitive.
At wot, it is about 85psi, at idle it's about 0-and bumps back and forth to 2psi.

there was a little trick we did with my trans and i was curious how much it bumped the pressure up.

Also, i'm going to use edit to soften the shifts but i don't want to lower the line pressure too much and let the clutches slip.

When you are going down a hill and let off the gas what is your psi at?

My other alternative, is to make the trans shift into second at 3mph. at light throttle position.
Of course aggressive driving and wot will be unaffected.

thanks,

allen

Does this mean your truck chirps the shifts ?
1-2 and 2-3 ?
When I hit the 1-2 Shift at WOT the truck lays some good rubber and kinda goes sideways
I Also can get a chirp on the 2-3 shift
I have the billet servo's installed in the trans.
and A 3K stall and all the other goodies

Ya, that's what it means, when my truck shifts from 1-2 at 15mph it will chirp them, at 3/4 throttle going in 3rd it will chirp them (and obviously at wot). I can smoke the tire (yes single track) all the way thru second gear if i floor it in first.
If it's going into second and i didn't burn the tire in first, it will lay a long *** patch.

i think i have about a 2800rpm stall now, i had the fins reangled to increase the stall.

the tranny has all kinds of goodies in it.
servo,clutches,shiftkit,hardened parts,etc...

i really need to soften it up some, has anybody tried that autotap thing for me, burning out is fun, but it doesn't give you good times.

btw, it's soooo damn hard going into second that it feels like a got into a small fender bender, BAMMMM, slamm. ouch.

Yeah, I watched the autotap on the way home today. I run about 12-15 at 1700rpm, 0 when coasting and 90 at WOT. I am hoping to turn it up with edit, not down.
