Trevor- I was hoping YOU'D have some stereo suggestions <img src="gr_stretch.gif" border="0"> Other than aftermarket head units, I've never even had a decent stereo system in anything I've ever owned!! But We'll take that up somewhere other than the truck forum <img src="gr_stretch.gif" border="0">

I'll get pics up soon... it started pouring about 6 hrs after I got her and hasn't stopped since <img src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" border="0">

The window tint MUST happen next week. I HATE CLEAR WINDOWS!!! <img src="gr_images/icons/mad.gif" border="0"> <img src="gr_tounge.gif" border="0">

Kristi, I have done a lot of stereo mods on my truck. You can see them in my sig link. It might give you some ideas.

I know that Jason's setup in his Silverado sounds AWESOME. However, you'll drop around $900 on it, and that's doing some bargain shopping. I'm not really looking to spend that kind of cash on a stereo setup, though, or at least not all at once. <img src="gr_stretch.gif" border="0"> I'll pick Jason's brain tomorrow about his setup. Either way, I want a removable face at a minimum so I don't get the new head unit ripped off.

I picked Jason's brain on his stereo equipment, and here's what he's running:

*Alpine head unit D857: The cheapest place we've found them is on eBay. This is one of the few that will fit into the stock space w/ out having to fill any gaps. They're going for $330-$350 on eBay. Here's an auction that's still open: http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI...tem=1335649089 He said that Alpine also makes a cheaper 853 head unit, but it's not as good.
*6.5" Focal Polyglass speakers:He bought them at www.thezeb.com for $239.99.
*Rockford Fosgate subwoofer: He said that you can pick up an Infiniti sub for cheaper if you prefer.
*Rockford Fosgate 804 amp: It's a 4 channel unit, and he has the two front channels running to the front pair of speakers and the two rear channels running to the sub.

BTW, he kept the stock rear speakers in place and only replaced the front pair w/ the Focals. He fades the volume out to have it running more through the fronts, so the rear speakers don't have to do near as much. I've heard the system, and it's AWESOME! The Focals are high-quality speakers that put out some awesome sound.
