Alright... I was gonna do the TB bypass and deciced to spray my TB down with some carb cleaner. Alright... so I put the little spray extension on the can and made sure it set in tight. I sprayed a couple sprays and on the third spray it launched that damn little tube into my intake.
I cannot beleive how crappy my luck is. If it's automotive, and can go wrong.... it will.
I guess I've gonna have to pull the TB and hope and pray it didn't go back too far.

That made my day. I can see the expression on your face when that happened. I almost fell of my seat when I read that. Sounds like something I would do. Sorry to laugh, but you have to admit it is pretty funny.

put a wad of duct tape on a stick and reach back and get it [edit - just make damn sure the duct tape is firmly on the stick ]
but if need be, it really doesnt take that long to pull the intake, looks like alot, but some sensors, a hose or two, the wiring harness bracket, some bolts and youre ready to pull it off - just take pictures everywhere so you remember where everything goes

i think the intake could be pulled in 20minutes or so, these things are insanely easy to work on. probably get it right thru the TB hole though. your story made me laugh , sorry.

It was almost in the hole that leads to the back of the intake. I was SOOOO worried that I would bump it the wrong way and it would go all the way back.... but I stuck a peice of hose in the intake carefully knocked it down and rolled it out. It was a nice waste of time, but oh well.
Pulling the TB wasn't that bad... though I couldn't get the cruise control cable off which sucks. And it turns out my coupler was bigger than I thought so I had to call my g/f and tell her to pick me up some stuff.
And yes... it is almost funny....
When it happened I stood straight up quickly, didn't say anything, had a WTF look I'm sure, and came in here to the computer to bitch about it.

Looking at the intake again it would be easy to pull. I may go ahead and do it so can give it a nice solvent bath.... and why not clean the head ports while I'm at it...
Hell, why not pull the heads and go get some work done on them?

LMAO. I'm sorry, but I am sitting here by myself laughing outloud. I was cleaning my old '92 GMC tb yesterday and I sprayed a little and thought "damn, it would suck for the tube to fly down the intake". Sorry, I know it wasnt funny at the time. Glad you got it out. LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
