Keep in mind it would take $2500+ in a 4l60e to handle 450rwhp. I did it with a stock 5 speed and stock clutch. I know 05's have a TR3450 trans and pretty sure 2002 and up do but not positive. It is a Tremec tranny and the NV3500 is a New Venture brand trans. The gear ratios are different as well as external appearance.
On the subject of driveshafts, if they haven't updated or re-designed them already, that would be on my priority list. Tearing one in half at 130mph is scary as hell!

There is just so much power to be had out of a 4.8, from what I hear the bottom ends are bulletproof. It's amazing. One day i'm going to build up an S-10 project with one and boost the **** out of it.
