I got a new toy
I just picked up a 99 GMC reg cab stepside 5.3 . I would like to rebuild the bottom end.Due to high mileage. Were do they sell kits? What is the stock horsepower and torque?Thanks for any help.

That's what I would like to do but freakin California smog laws suck 
. I need to get more info on how far I could go with the engine to still pass smog. I don't want to put in the stock motor when smog time comes around and once the smog has been done put the 
stroker motor with no smog crap 
on it like back in the day with my brothers camaro.
