well I do no not have the right fitting need to use the manual gauge up top so I am replacing the sending unit one more time and if the lower pressure is still there I may try and find someone with the filter mounted gauge.

Maybe the sending unit is bad? If it was fine before, i would look there first..

it's better through the rmps but still the same at idle, maybe the machine shop screwed me on the cam bearings. Luck has not been on my side in 3 years now so who knows.

How about the oil pump pickup tube o-ring? I know alot of guys have had issues with different size/style o-rings not fitting properly. I'd also check and make sure it's in straight and not kinked.

BTW, I did more research on those intake rocker bolt holes, and it's common and normal for ported heads. Some liquid teflon or other sort of sealer should fix you up.

Hey Dark, did you get my return pm? How do you have your PCV system setup? I know after getting rid of my pcv completly I have 99% less oil burning issues.

you may also have a oil pump itself going out.... I have replaced many of them at work for low oil pressure.... I have also replaced a few clusters b/c of this also. I would get an adapter to replaced the oil filter, put a manual guage on it, get some kind of scan tool that will allow you to see data, and compare all 3 of them at once. If the manual guage and scan tool are reading ok then you need a cluster... hope this helps

Maybe you dont hav ethe proper main bearing clearances, they are smaller on the GEN 3 engines than the GEN 1, Gen 1E or GEN 2 engines.

Do you have a cold air intake system? If you do, it could be from over oiling the filter. That's what I did to mine. Just a thought.
