I have a 224/230 610/605 111+3 in my stock 5.3 and it made 340rwhp @ 6300-6400 and was holding steady at 6400 when we let out. Shifting at 6800. I'd gladly run that in a 6.0. Made more hp and tq over the entire curve than a 216/220 525/532 114.

Put together a graph that compared the 2 cams with the same setup. If I remember correctly the only difference is that the Comp 216/220 cam we dyno'd in 3rd gear with cutouts open and the Eps 224/230 we did in 2nd. Would have made more power in 3rd.

Thats a big *** cam in a 5.3! How it is down low? Do you have any drivability issues? How high do you rev that thing??

Thats an awesome graph!! Great way to see the differences, I wish you they both would have been in 3rd, but still shows enough gain regardless.

222/226 shift it at 6500 an let it do what it does if you want a torque setup run the trucker cam (high lift) an let it ride. No need to over cam a truck that isnt a race truck muchless put a cam you have to spin to 6800-7000 to get peak power out of.

Ive told you a million times the 222/226 is the biggest id run without a set of heads. You're wanting a budget build an ive pointed it out a ton of times.

243s stock
222/226 eps cam or trucker high lift
3000-3200 converter
Leave the 3:73s an put a tru-trac.
Do your other bolt ons and leave it alone.

I like the sounds of that build... it would run real strong in your truck. Like 12's with good weather and traction...
