all cams mentioned are too small for a 6.0 IMO. for a mild DD just grab a 228/232 on a 112 LSA. ive seen this cam in a few mild 6.0's and it always performs great.

He wants a cam that pulls from 1500rpm in any gear not a top end screamer. Ive seen that cam in a tbss LS2 an it didnt impress me as much as everyones made it out to be. Bad *** VHO made that cam put out some serious mph but that combo doesnt count since the combo isnt anywhere close to what the OP will have. So upon what he says he wants the smaller cams is the best for him.

Truckshop ran the eps 222/230 111+4 cam an it was a monster from any mph but he had a set of PRC 2.5 heads. Also there is a Vmax in the drag racing section that made that 222/230 112+4 (i think) run 12s with a baby converter

i ran a 226/226 112 cam with a stock converter with less cubes...it drove just fine and didnt feel sluggish AT ALL. i've tried more n/a engine/cam combos than alot of members and alot of the crap i read on here is all theory/myth based.

a lot of it is people being fooled that you need a loose a$$ converter and a huge *** cam to do anything with a truck. its a "taste" thing when it comes to cam and converter combos. not everyone thinks a small cam is for them with a tight converter or a huge cam and super loose convert is for them. i tried the 3200 and 3:42s with a donkey d*ck cam it was fun but wouldnt go past a 13.0 on DRs. i added the 3600 and it'd cut a 12.74-12.75 all day long but it was a complete PITA to drive around.

i like that *Mhotrodscooter* went 12.6 with his 228/233 cam and a 278mm 3200 converter on worn out M&H tires, a ton of people told him he cant break past 12.7s on a good day. he proved them wrong

i drive a stock converter with the same donkey d*ck cam and even with a 6spd and 4:10s its best 60' is a 2.0x. for a tame DD and mild track setup i think the combo i listed would do what he wants and shock a lot of people on the street without making him need a 3400+ converter and a short gear.

this is the same question that is beat into the ground everytime someone posts it.

i went 12.1 on a 226/226 cam with a LS1 in an extended cab on a 3200 converter. i know small cams can work too, but notice that all of the guys setting the records are using donkey dick cams with huge converters and "everything is too big according to my online mythical calculator". with a good tune, the bottom end loss of a slightly larger cam can easily be made up.

am i reading wrong, or did you just call a 228/233 cam a donkey dick cam? if you cant make that daily drivable you need to find a new tuner.

I like how everybody says find a new tuner when we have a few issues.
We have EPS,Futral and thunder in our back yard. They designed the cams 90% of the people run on here.

No the 228/236 i run is a donkey dick cam for what i want outta my truck imo. Not everyone wants a cam that has to be spun to 6800+ to go anywhere.

Scooters cam is what he wants.

Op has a CCSB
