Hey guys, I just ordered my AMW oil catch can. Could you post some pictures of where you mounted it. I'm thinking of making a bracket to mount off the two ground strap studs that are on the firewall between the valve cover and the brake booster. Thanks.

I mounted mine on the other side, but todd @ AMW told me that most people mount them right to the fuse box cover and don't have any problems. Here is a couple of pics of mine:

Looks good. I did not even notice it until the close up shot.

Thanks... It seems that the more I look at my engine bay, the more I think about mounting it off of the altenator bracket. I was thinking that I could make it out of 1/16" steel plate and bend it for clearance, kind of like the bracket that holds the little red power box in the same area. I'm not sure yet. Hopefully I will have the catch can in a few days and then I can fab up a nice bracket.

Anyone else have any pictures? Thanks

Jeff

Nah, not a stupid question.

Purpose is to catch oil being sucked into the intake manifold through the PCV hose. Here is a pic of some oil catchage.

Some guys are using filters made from parts of an air compressor.
