Default i know, i know, another header question...

ok i want something straightened out, my buddy is trying to tell me he saw a dyno between pace and lpp and there was a 20 hp diff favoring pace because of the collector design so idk ..

yep.. then the lpps only make 5 or so over the manifolds..hes jealous of your prettier lpp headers over his pacesetters is what it sounds like.

yea thats what i was thinkin he said some truck on the dyno with a tr220 made 310 with lpps then he got pace and made 330 i just laughed and said whatever

I like my pacesetters, but I dont see how there could be that much of a difference between the two on hp.

Ive seen a back to back comparison article on an SBC between headers with a high velocity merge collector and those without being a 12 HP difference on an engine dyno. But neither pacesetters or LPP have it so it's not relevant. There shouldnt be much of any difference btw the two in power.

so this guy could have just put high velocity merge collectors on it, i was wonderin cause im getting ready to put that tr224 cam in and want to be right as far as bolt ons go...

the overall design of both headers is almost exactly the same, except pc has the egr port on the passenger side header and the LPP are stainless...other than that i dont see how the hell there would be a 20hp difference between the two. id say go with whichever one you want...i just ordered a set of the LPP headers, had pacesetters on my last truck with no problems..just wanted to try something new.

They are basically the same headers.. So that is not a true statement

He's full of shat and Tuning makes a big difference in HP when you have a cam.
