What about the pushrods? Aren't they marginal at best on a stocker? Are stock LS1 pushrods better than our truck parts..........

Marginal at best IMO. Go for some hardened rods.

I don't have a wild camshaft but I'm using the stock 5.3L pushrods for my 206/212 XR259. I think more has to do with the aggressiveness of the camshaft, in which case neither the XR259 nor the XR265 (his 212/218) are very aggressive. It'll be quite aggressive in his 4.8L, but that's because of the lack in displacement. You put that same 212/218 in a 6.0L and it'll go from a high winding 4.8L cam to a low rpm torque monster in a 6.0L.

the 212/218 low lift is a fun cam in the 4.8 (mods in sig) it does lack low end even more so becuase i was running a stock stall and my trucks on 22s. But the truck loved it when i went above 3000 it just would run strong.

Ill be using the same cam in my LQ9 (swap should be done Fri) i cant wait to finally have some ***** off the line if traction isnt to much of an issue it should be a good combo.

Im thinking that the heavy a$$ 22s and the 305s out back will help a little.
