Default I need help installing my boost gauge

Ok, I removed my HVAC vent closest to the driver side window, I replaced it with a piece of Black ABS plastic and a flush mounted autometer boost gauge. I just dont know where to install the pressure tube that picks up the boost pressure. I dont know of any after the s/c so where does it go? Im going to call Magnacharger in the morn.

if you haven't used it for your FMU, take the intake cover off, on the passenger side of the intake, there is a tap coming out of it with a tab on the end. take a pair of flat pliers and snap it off and plug your gauge in there. no prob.

I must have fucked up when i purchased the guage. The line that runs from the gauge is only an 1/8in line. If you blow air into the line, the gauge moves. I coneccted it to the fitting on the intake man. now the guage doesnt work. It doesnt move because of vaccuum. D they make a gauge that runs on vaccuum? not on pressure? <img border="0" alt="[Banging Head]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_banghead.gif" />

1/8" line is fine for a gauge, are you sure it is seeing intake presure? i wouldn't think it would hurt the gauge to put vacume to it, it would just read 0 when there isn't any boost. i have a 15psi fuel presure gauge that i am using for my boost gauge and when i am not seeing boost it just read 0

i didn't like any of the boost gauges that i could find, with just 6psi of boost there would be so little needle sweep it seemed week to me, i want the needle to sweep around when i hit it.

here are a few pic's of what i did. under the hood i put a tee in the line that goes to the pvc valve.
