Ok....I just went to lunch and got on her pretty good one time and it hit 10psi I'm sure it would hit 11-12, maybe more??? If I had stayed in it, but i'm still trying to take it easy on the converter. It never saw that much boost with the stock cam. Only other change is the maching shop said my CR was 9.52:1 instead of the stock 9.4:1. Would that little bit more CR help it make that much more boost?? It ran around 8-9 psi with the stock engine.

Good to see you getting back in the game man! Drive around aimlessly tonight and put some more miles on the 'verter, then stab the ish outta it and give us a report!

Did you change your throttle body? I was having trouble getting boost out of my whipple. The problem ended up being the vacuum actuated butterfly valve. Under WOT and full boost a vacuum was created between the throttle body and the whipple opening the recurculation vavle and bleeding off boost. I still can't make more than 5psi with a 3-5/8 pulley.

I'm running the stock throttle body. I'm making very good boost so far. I'm pleasantly suprised. I was sure the cam would cause me to lose some boost.

Oh geez, lets not go there. If someone really wants to know use the site's search function.

12psi on a whipple .....are you running an IC or alky or something. What are you IAT's? Any KR? Sounds like you might have a winning combo there? How fast are you spinning that thing (what rpm)?

I wish some people would chime in here and give ideas why I am seeing more boost. Can it be the cam?? Is it the small bump in CR?? I have seen many post about cams dropping boost but never one where a cam helped make more boost
