Unhappy i think my water pump is dying

2 weeks after christmas i replace my waterpump seals, well a week ago i get a low coolant light, well i refilled it thinking maby just airbubbles, i look under the truck and notice some coolant drops but it could be residual, and i look at the weep hole on the bottow, don't really see any wet coolant. well i after driving home on friday i looked underther with the truck running and still nothing. just now i looked and the water pump looked wetter then usual and it looks like thier is coolant (just a little) comming out of the wheep hole. my repair manual says if this is true i need to replace it imedaitly bec the internal seal has failed. my question is, howw common is this, and do i have to replace right now?

I only have experience with 2 bad pumps, one on my old diesel (over 200k miles) and an old Ford van (who knows how many miles). On the van, once it started weeping, it wasn't long before it was catastophic. I wouldn't go too long like it is, I waited too long and ended up destroying the van.

I had to have my water pump replaced with only 17,XXX miles on the clock, it was leaking bad from the weep hole.
