Default And I thought I was slow "with" the superchips programmer...

I decided to return my truck tune back to stock Sunday. My friend just bought a brand new ecsb gmc 4x4 with the 5.3L. We raced 4 times with my tune The two races from a roll, I jumped out of the hole and pulled the hole race. The two from 20mph were as bad as the first two. Then I unprogrammed my truck. From the dead stop, I pulled out about a truck and stayed there until he started gaining in the high end. I won. We went from a 20 roll and he pulled off on me and never looked back. This is the first time in almost two years I had the stock tune, and I had no idea it helped me out that much! I'm selling the tuner Friday, due to my next big project, so I guess I'll have a 16 second truck until about August. Then, hopefully, its on!

I tell people all the time that my HPPIII knocked a half of a second off of my ET and they think I'm bullshit, but I know it did. I knocked 1.3 seconds off of my ET with $1500 worth of bolt ons....hopefully this 6.0L will be in by the middle of July. I've been so busy with work and the kids I really haven't had time to mess with it. (excuses, excuses)

yea he's gonna make it to thunder shootout. at least he better. of course he'll have a little more displacement by then i hope. i want to take my tune off my truck when im at the track just to see what a custom diablo tune will do. it feels stronger from the diablo tuning i did. i am just afraid it'll fry something

thunder, what times are you gonna shoot for this year, 14 or 14.5. that is considering they do it like last year. i think i'll be shooting for the 14 sec times. i hope anyway.

I'm gonna save my vacation days just for the shootout. Goshawk is right, maybe I'll have a little something up my sleeve by then if all goes well. I know without a doubt I have a 16 second truck without the tune, so I can only imagine how much of a difference a Nelson tune makes!

Not bad to the bone, lol, just consistently slow.

Doubt i can go this year. I'll probably be low on vacation time by then. But you never know i might have some days left, have to wait and see. Are u gonna make it 2000SS?
