I'm new to this site, but figured I had to start somewhere....

An SS is nice, but pricey. I bought an '04 ext-cab GMC with the same suspension, engine and chrome 20's for $26K out the door. It has everything but leather(and AWD). Don't miss the AWD drive though, truck only has about 400 miles on it, so I haven't really got on it but I can say the I've already chewed up and spit out a RC Hemi (had a Flowmaster and FIPK) with ease. You can get a '04 with leather for probably $28K out the door, Chevy also makes this truck if you don't want a GMC. Just throwing in my $.02.

Also I kinda like the idea of have and the ex cab with leather for the ladies can pile in
hows the truck run after the by pass, by the way my little 4.8 ate up a silverado ss.o1 extc 20 s volant ram air.tbs, spintech exhaust, shift kit, superchips.jba wires and headers, very happy with my truck.

i found a leftover ss and paid 28,9 (new). this was before tax and interest but still, msrp is over 40k! and with a few decent bolt ons you will be hard pressed to find a 4.8 or even 5.3 on your local streets to run next to you...

If you work a decent trade at the dealership, you'll save a little dough on taxes. Just a thought.

If you are lucky, and a good negotiator you can find them new for even a bit better than $28k *cough cough*

yeah, id like to know if that truck still has the original drive train components in tact after that. it was neat to watch but o man, it made me cringe at the same time.

That one has an original motor with a cam. Its spraying nitrous. I think its had a transmission issue in the past, but what do you expect with that kind of useage (abuse).

I'm plenty happy with my SS. I'd be happy with the VHO too, but I'd miss the AWD. Traction is not an issue.
