Hey guys my buddy is throwing a code on his 99 GMC 5.3L. It's reading out as P0113 as an IAT Sensor High Voltage. We are just gonna swap it out but where is this thing located? Pics would be helpful. I think it's in the MAF but just wanna make sure...thanks in advance!

Yeah its in the maf. Did he do anything different with the truck like an intake? Just throwing that out there because if he just oiled it, it may be all over the Maf/Iat sensor. Try cleaning it off first.

 

Nah he is still running the stock intake...he did have somewhat of a violent wreck to the front end and he said once back from the shop it was throwing the code. I'm guessing they may have removed it to do fender work and not connected something that well.

It is incorporated into the MAF harness, so if it was not connected he would also throw a MAF code. Check the wires going to the MAF, one could be chaffed or broken. If so, just reconnect it with solder.
