I also considered getting a custom Griffin heat exchanger but when I was given a ballpark quote of about $350 I was less interested because I could not be sure it would achieve the results I wanted.
As it is, I believe the upgrade heat exchanger from Magnuson is the best bang for the buck.

That's the one. Mine is mounted up in my grille. The H2 Skidplate does not allow any airflow for cooling in the low mount. If I had a truck I'd definitely mount it down low like you guys do.

Here is my JDM heat exchanger:
Some plastic ducting to help 'force' the air through when up to speed. The fans really help cool things down when you are at the stoplight, waiting for the next race

Something like that (I try to forget those big numbers 
). I don't know if they have them anymore. They are made for Lightnings, so it is kinda funny to have one in my Chevy It just barely fits between the frame.
