Default Inexpensive stroker kits?

I recall reading something about these a while back... any ideas on pricing and who makes them?

i think it was jason or something. he either had some tie to thunder or well i think he is in waco, Tx. but the main discussion was weather or not the ground crank could handle the power.

i am going to go out on a CLIFF not gust a limb and say it was jason98ta. like i said i just threw that name out there and i dont even know if it is a member. hope this helps

Jason99ta is tied to Thunder, but he is in LA, not TX. Jason 98 TA is with Texas Speed, in Lubbock TX. Texas Speed sells offset ground crank motors.

Give AP Engineering a call, it is where I bought my stroker. They have the best prices I have seen and great customer service.

I was looking for info on a 4" crank with matching rods...nod iron crank is fine and I-beams are plenty strong. Not looking for a kit that will hold 800hp or anything.

Thumbs up

No one makes a 4 inch iron crank yet so far but it may come out sooner than people think. We have a 4.000 inch 4340 Eagle crank and 6.125 or 6.200 H-beam Eagle 4340 kit with JE or Diamond pistons, pins and rings W/ Fed Mogul Rod and Main Bearings for 2399.00 to 2499.00 depending on pistons. The Lunati stuff goes about as low as 3200.00 and is great but you will not ever fail either crank anyway. I haven't seen the stock crank fail yet even with a 300 shot for many many passes. I will also balance these kits for an additional 100.00 so no one needs to worry about heavy metal.

We do an assembled short block with these parts plus blueprinting everything done by us and documenting it on the build sheet for 3899.00. I do the assembly myself and have been doing this work for years including teaching at SAM where we did the first ten and nine second camaros on these boards. We've been in every major car magazine in the US including Hot Rod and Car Craft. Now I am in charge of engine building and machining at HPE, where everything is down in house on Sunnen equipment.
