Default Initial Griffin IC results

So I finally got the griffin in the mail yesterday. I decided to install it and see what she could do. I was not dissapointed. 57lbs of air on the first log @ 5900 rpm. This is an approx 10lb change with just the intercooler, still at 11lbs of boost.

I am now working on getting the afr dialed back in. For some reason the new intercooler really whacked my fuel ratio.

Good to hear! Sounds like your results are just like mine. My air fuel ratio went to like 10.5 to 1. One of the guys in the pcm forum said because the air is so much cooler that the volumetric efficiency goes up, and brake specific fuel consumption goes down. It takes less fuel to make the same horsepower as before.

How was the install?

Install went fine black... I did it almost the same as you except I bent up a new bracket for the back of the cooler and then I used 3 tie wraps... It's in there pretty solid.

Quick update: I have been doing a bunch of logs and the IAT's hardly move more than a couple of degrees no matter how hard I am on it! My air fuel is pretty close up to about 4500 at 11.7:1. After 4500 I am going lean and it doesn't seem to matter what factor I put into the PE table. Fuel pressure seems good, but I haven't changed my filter in a while.

Oh, and I hit 58lb/min at 5500rpm on my last log

I have also noticed that one of my front o2's is going crazy, but I don't remember that this effects WOT at all. It has been throwing codes for the last couple of weeks. Guess I will throw in a new one anyway this afternoon.

Have you logged injector pulsewidth? I wouldn't think you'd be out of injector yet, but you never know. I hit about 58-59 lb/min at 5900 at this temperature, and I'm open 19milliseconds at 5900. That's getting pretty close. It sounds like you're seeing a little more air than me.

I haven't logged pulsewidth yet. Which pid is it on a 99?
