So the wife and I bought one, and so far i've been really impressed. It doesnt have the torque and low end grunt that my 5.3 has, but the motor itself and car are great.

I would recommend it, but get the 3.73 rear end. That will be my first 'improvement"

It has the Vortec 4200 inline 6 correct?

Any chance you could do me a favor and take a few measurements off of the engine?

I'm looking for basic overall length (length of valvecover would be fine.)

And height, from the front crank bolt to the top of the front of the valvecover.

I'm having a hard time finding dimensions for this engine on the internet, so if you get a chance to measure that, I would greatly appreciate it.
