Default Injector size on the Lq9 in the SS

What is the injector size on the Lq9 in the SS? They should be able to handle the old 5psi Magna Charger right? I think they are 30lbs, im not sure though. I just got the blower for a steal. It does need slight modification. the EGR on the blower need to be plugged. Thats about it. Anyone know What Type fluid the Magna uses? Its an Eaton M90 so im sure it takes the same gear oil as the S/C grand prix, or lightning. I could be wrong though.

Thanks.

Not sure about the injectors but that thing should rock with the blower! Get a set of the big block injectors like they came with the kit new, and get a tune. Let us know how it goes I think the fluid is a synthetic but I don't know the viscosity. You might be able to get it from magnacharger directly...

24.7lb/hr injectors. No they wont handle a blower. The Radix kit comes with 42lb/hr 8.1 marine injectors. You will max the stock injectors at 5psi easily.

The Injectors that came with this kit were from the 8.1L also. I didnt know that the stock injectors were that small. Ill call MagnaCharger in the morning for the fluid specs. Are they the same size injectors that are in the 01 5.3L ????

Plain old 8.1 injectors are 31lb/hr. 5.3 injectors are 24.7 also. But the 99 5.3's were 19 or 20 somthing.

I see 94% duty cycle on my stock injectors, in my stock SS. You might be able to jack the fuel pressure up and use them, but would require fuel system mods to do so. If I were you I would just get bigger injectors and a tune to be on the safe side.

Do a search for fbody bosch injector conversion. You'll find plenty of info. I ran SVO injectors with my whipple in 2002. You'll need to buy some injector harness pigtails to splice into your factory harness. Summit sells some.
