injectors off 2003 5.3 not fitting on 2002 5.3?

I can get the injectors to fit into the fuel rail, it's just that they are too short to reach getting into the intake, we've concluded that the intake on it is not a stock 5.3 intake which is the problem lol

went and compared the intake/fuel rail to a 2002 5.3 silverado intake/fuel rail and the intake is exactly the same

but the fuel rail was different. Swapped the fuel rail onto the intake and it worked with the stock injectors
