I would consider running meth if I wanted to take it to the track, but I would prefer to be able to drive around on the street without having to always buy windshield washer fluid.
How fast does the methanol get used up in the meth injection vehicles? Are they replacing the fluid once a week? Everyday?

Hey guys I need some help. I'm trying to order some head bolts but I don't know what set I should buy. There are 2 sets. One set has 2 different lengths of bolts (late models 04+,) and the other set has 3 different lengths of bolts (early models 97-03.)
If I'm sticking the 243s onto the LR4 block so which studs should I get? Is it the head that matters or the block in which they mate too?
Thanks

Head bolt design changes with the Block years. You need to know what year the block is.
If you dont know look above the water pum next to were the head gasket deck is on the righ side I believe. There is a date code cast in there. should look something like G012
The first leter is the month.
the next two digits are the day
and the last digit should be the Year.

Yes, Several have done it. But you need to be able to measure the bore before durring and after. Some blocks will be out of round before you even start and may not clean up good. Haveing a true bore is important to sealing esspecially in forced induction applications and performance applications in general.

Wiesco makes pistons for a 5.3L with a -2 cc in a 3.78 and a 3.80 bore
The 4.8L and 5.3L pistons have the same pin height. I can only assume that whom ever you talked to was un aware of this.
The L33 Option is a factory 5.3L with 4.8L pistons that GM built from the factory starting in 2005.

Would there be an issue connecting the 4.8L rod to the piston?
Thanks

He said he is personally not a fan of the dingleberry hones because it doesn't leave as nice of a finish. I would have thought the opposite. Any ideas?
