I got my AEM air intake today for my 2005 GMC 5300 1/2 ton Z71 it instaled good but the water hose dose touch the air intake tube Im not sure if it will rub through the hose over time. I was woundering if enyone els had the same problem when thay instaled a aem intake on there gmc / silverado. the intake sounds great though I can tell a diffrance in power to lot more pep I love the deep mellow sound when I get in the throddle.

yeah, you have to move the clip that holds it to the radiator and put in in that lil tab on the bottom of the intake tube. if you do that it will hold it about an inch or two from the tube. I love my AEM intake, I think it is one of the best on the market, and I love the polished finish!

i like mine too i just let my hose hang over the tube, got a lil black mark after 8 months or so no biggie. I was debating on which cai to get and i got the aem cuz you dont have to oil it, and i think it looks a lot better than the k&n and its a lot cheaper. the only thing i would recommend is a filter wrap cuz in the right conditions rain water can get through the filter and onto the maf and then your truck has a hard time stayin running. (believe me i know from experience)

the only problem i have with mine is taking the filter off. Its so big i have to unbolt it from the heat shield and wrestle it off but other than that i like it.
