i installed the radix yesterday, put in allen tune tune and did not get a fire up.

the motor was turning over, but no spark we think was being produced, but we didnt mess with that at all during install.... we took out the FPR and we had fuel pressure. i talked to brian and he thinks it has something to do with VATS...
the truck is running WAy rich, we had to throw the original PCM back in... so now it wont hold idle on start up and the SES is on.

got a PM from allen saying how to do pass key on the new PCM, but my security light isnt coming on, so i'm am unable to do pass key right now. i think i'll have to throw in the old PCM and wait for another tune.

That link is correct, but the security light should be one in the sequence. Mine flashes between battery and security. Mine also starts for one second then dies. Is it the superchips tune (or at least the one in the superchips handheld, not sure if it actually is a superchips tune) running way rich??

 

its a tune from allen nelson... i never was able to put the super chips tune on, because it was a used kit and the tuner is locked to the first guys VIN.

 

For some reason the pass key procedure is different on some trucks. When I put a new pcm in mine I only had to turn the key to the on (not all the way to start) position before the security lite would come on and I could finish the procedure. (took me a bit to figure that one out). After doing that three times, Then it fired right up.

 

well ive had the battery disconnected fo awhile right now.. to clear any codes.. i'll try it again.... should i leave the door open to MAKE the security light pop on?

 

i tried turning the key to on.. still no security screen.... what the heck is going?!?!?

i'm not sure if this even has to do with vats now... its turning over fine.. just no fire up... ugh............

 

I had to do the pass key with my new tune
3 times it would burp - let it sit 10 min - fired on the 4th try

 

did your security light come on, and alternate with abs and all that stuff like its supposed to?....

i'm going to try again later today after work.

tried to refire - nope after 3 time
4 time - fired.

 

Hey Bryce do you have any other security alarm stuff on there? I remember I kept having to hit unlock on the key fob brfore you could crank it. Do you have to hit unlock everytime you try the vats stuff? I know it might be a last resort by far because they suck, but could you take it to a dealer to have them figure the vats out?
