Default Intake manifold ??

I want to know if there are any differences in intakes, between one for a cable-driven throttle body and one for the drive-by-wire t.b. I'm trying to buy an '04 intake manifold from another member, which is for a drive-by-wire tb, and put it on my '00 Z-71, which is a cable-driven tb. I assume the intake will work, but want to know for sure.

the drive by wires i've seen are usually missing some of the threaded inserts for the throttle cable bracket. depending on the year of your truck you also may have the issue of return and returnless fuel rails with the return style having provisions for the vacuum referenced fuel pressure regulator.

It will work. Im using an 03 intake on my motor that was drive by wire. Throttle brackets mounted up fine. Are you wanting to convert to DBW TB??

I was thinking about it, but probably won't. My '02 has drive-by-wire, but my '00 Z-71 doesn't. I was just wanting to make sure that an '04 drive-by-wire intake manifold will fit my '00 and be able to use the cable-driven tb. I think I'll go ahead and get it from the guy and if it doesn't work, I'll use it on my '02 or sell it.

Yep, mine has traction assist! I believe they started that option in '01. My '02 is a fully loaded LT, every option except for sportside bed, stickered for $34k.
