Intake Polishing
Anybody know of a place other than Extrude Hone to do the abrasive flow machining? That is quite expensive to do an aluminum intake. I was qouted $700 to do a BBK intake.
I have done some looking on the web but cant find anyone other than www extrudehone com and love the thought of having it done.
Any help is appreciated!

They are it.
It works great if you have a distinct lack of bigger speed parts. I've talked to a couple of guys who did it to those Bill Mitchell 427 SBC's where no matter what there is no bigger dual planes, and they did not want a open plenum manifold. So it was a good comprimise for there situation.
The only other option is to port the runners to the plenum on say a LT-1 intake, but this doesn't work for the 5.0 or TPI crowd becouse the runner length can not be ported unless you extrude hone.
If your talking about your LT-1 Camaro have you already gone to the LT-4 manifold, and head package or what ever equivalent you have.

This BBK will be for an engine I am building for my truck. I have a 5.3 that I am going to deck and bore to make a 5.7 +cam +heads +pistons.
The engine in my car is an LS6 that I have already built.
Looks like I will be going old school on the intake and heads. Gonna give them both a hand job and call it good.
Thanks man!
