how much difference is there in a volant or fipk
compared to a k&n drop in or stock for that matter

 

I know it sucks to get no replies. I don't know for sure but some guy listed results of four or so of the well-known ones about a month or so ago so you might find it in a search.
K&N told me 5% to 8% rwhp gain for my FIPK but who knows for sure? The truck seems a little peppier and the sound is good.

Your welcome. Looks like you run 1/8th mile. I went to Clash of the Titans at the local track Sat night;some were running that but most,1/4 mile.
I'm planning on going to the Natls at the Motorplex at the end of the month...Top Fuel thunder!! Adios.

 

I had a drop in and later upgraded to a FIPK. The performance difference is noticable (more noticable than the difference between stock and drop-in). Perhaps of equal importance, the sound difference is INTENSE. The other guy mentioned it, but I don't think he did it justice - I almost crapped my pants when I heard it. Not to mention, the FIPK sets you up for a tru cold air induction hood... Just my $.02...
