Default Intake Runners - Long vs Short

Whats the differences in short and long runners. Say as in the new Edelbrock LS XT intake or shorter runners vs a long runner Vic Jr or even the Super Vic intake?

There is A CRAP load of theory out there about "tuning" the length of the runner as well as plenum volume....

BUT.... Genrally speaking......

Short runners aid in upper RPM, Long runners Aid in torque.

Tapper, and overall runner volume plays a HUGE HUGE Part in where the intake helps the most.....

Look at this for short runners. Kind of long, but a good read.
