Intake tube out of fiberglass?

Can it be done? I mean, I know it can be done. But how well does fiberglass insulate against heat? Would be cool to just fiberglass your own tube etc.

The glass itself would be ok but the resins are extremely flamable-trust me, i know. Carbon fiber or composits that are pressure cured would work but be pricey.

Do it! Use epoxy instead of polyester if you're worried about fire. Good idea.

Your gonna wanna <------Like that? lol anyways you will want to make sure that the inside of your constructed tube is smooth, might be hard to smooth it out. If you dont it will restrict airflow. Once cured you shouldnt have any problems with the flamability issues, Its not like open flames will be subject to the setup. Giver a try all that can be lost is a little time, fiberglass isnt that expensive. Good idea BTW
