Default Internal engine damage woes

For those of you who have broken or damaged internal parts such as rings, burnt pistons, lifters, pushrods, spun bearings etc. list your ailment and the symptoms. Such things could be any abnormal noises, condition of spark plugs, smoke/color of smoke, visible leaks, smells, ses lights, performance issues, drivability, did it happen over time or all at once, your mods at the time, and the possible cause. This could serve as a reference for those of us who may think we have a serious condition and maybe we could even make it a sticky.

Did you experience this personally, the first you listed was a headgasket, what was the second, I dont understand with the tranny fluid through the intake?

Compression in crank case. Oil blowing out gaskets, smoke, and poor power. Broken Rings. Engine= total loss.
